About Western Health

Our Community

The Western Health community is one of the fastest growing in Australia, with a population expected to surpass one million by 2021. It is a proud and passionate community, where our uniqueness is celebrated in over 150 different languages, and support is offered to those in need.

While our working class roots make us strong in spirit, at Western Health, we know that disadvantage and diversity are also two of the main roadblocks to accessing healthcare. As a result, our community experiences some of the highest levels of chronic disease in Australia, with higher than average repeat hospital admissions.

By participating in WalkWest, and by supporting the fundraising of friends and family, you will provide our hospitals with the financial resources to continue to provide the best care, the best research and the best training.

Together we can create best care for the west.
