About Western Health

Our community

The Western Health community is one of the fastest growing in Australia, with a population surpassing one million this year.

Ours is a proud, passionate, and unique community, celebrated in more than 150 different languages and dialects.

While our working-class roots make us strong in spirit, we know disadvantage and diversity are barriers to accessing healthcare. This means our community experiences some of the highest levels of chronic disease in Australia, with above average repeat hospital admissions.

By participating in WalkWest, and by supporting the fundraising of friends and family, you can help shrink those barriers.

Together we can create best care for the west.
